Gary Kasparov. It is natural to wonder, if further advances in the
area of game programming are still necessary or even possible.
In the first part of my talk, I'll give a brief survey of the current
state of the art. We'll see that traditional methods only result in
good programs for relatively ``simple'' games such as chess. In the
second part, I'll present two popular games where computers perform
very poorly, showing the reasons, and indicating other approaches.
