Abstract

I will speak about a not yet implemented system for capturing and

rendering 3D movie scenes using known techniques in a somewhat user
friendly and pipelined fashion. The goal of a work package in the
Virtual Film producer project was to propose a system that can be used
to demonstrate 3D movie scenes in which the user had some kind of
viewing freedom. One of the core ideas behind this system was the
usability for non-technicans. I will give a short introduction to the
project and discuss what goals and constraints that were set up for the
proposed system. The basic idea of the system is to identify the
complete scene as a combination of a static and a dynamic scene. The
layout of the system will be presented in conjunction with some of the
techniques of the proposed implementation.
