Abstract

This is the twenty-first talk in the AG1 series:

Myspace, Flickr, Netflix and all that - Hot sites and trends on the web

http://www.mpi-sb.mpg.de/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Cool_Websites (seminar wiki)

The (short!) presentations will be very informal and there's lots of interaction with the audience. Rotunda 3rd floor.

! OPEN TO EVERYONE !

---------------------------------------

google notebook (Irina) - No, Google is not giving away free laptop computers. Google Notebook is a nice tool to conveniently gather information on a project as you browse.

dooodle (Yassen) - Search for interesting stuff in recent blog posts and RSS feeds. With dooodle you also get suggestions on narrowing your search; and you can adjust algorithm parameters through weird controls.

compete (Ingmar) - How much time is spent by online users watching youtube videos? Is Yahoo losing or gaining visitors? Compete.com offers such web traffic information. Does it beat alexa (a similar service)? Come and find out!
