Jochen Bomm studied the course of Audiovisual Media at the Stuttgart Media University (HdM) with focus on computeranimation and motion capture. Since 2003 he is working at the cg-department of the HdM as a 50% scientific assistant. Along the way he was working at various media productions (foremost web and cg) doing lectureships and lately works as mocap-consultant for a cg-company in munich.

Two special techniques - motion capture and motion control - are used in the cg-department at the HdM. Over the years some creative ideas emerged how to use these techniques beyond the normal application. In combination withartistic skills and solid knowledge about production-planing our students use these ideas to produce what they are so keen on: entertaining, visually attractive animated shorts.
