Abstract
We introduce the equations and parameters that govern the motion of a
rigid body. We give a basic overview of aerodynamics and flight
mechanics and then show how these combine to simulate the motion of a
fixed-wing aircraft. Finally, we describe the configuration files of the
flight simulator in Google Earth and show how they can be modified to
adapt the characteristics of the simulated aircraft.
