Abstract

This is the second talk in the AG1 series:

Myspace, Flickr, Netflix and all that - Hot sites and trends on the web

--- This week at 11:00 am !! ---

The (short!) presentations will be very informal and interaction with the audience is strongly encouraged. Rotunda 3rd floor

----------

blurb: (Almost) Anyone can publish a scientific paper, but now everyone can publish a whole book! (Konstantin)

stumbleupon: Combine other cool trends (peer and social networking, one-click blogging) and you get "if you like this website you might also like this one". (Yassen)

peerflix/hitflip: Hardware-based, legal file-sharing. This is what you get if you set up netflix as a peer-to-peer system. (Ingmar)

also starring: A surprise website. Absolutely absurd!

Presentations will be 5-10 minutes each.
