images and long rendering times. In the past, ray-tracing
implementations were too slow to be used by interactive applications.
In my talk I present the new 'OpenRT' rendering engine for interactive
3D graphics based on the very fast and distributed RTRT ray-tracer. It
uses an OpenGL-like API syntax, supports dynamic scenes with millions of
triangles and scales well in the number of client machines. The OpenRT
engine offers more flexibility and rendering features than current
rasterization hardware.
