Abstract
Modeling of natural phenomena for realistic image synthesis is a difficult
problem. Simulation of e.g. fire and smoke is computationally expensive
and challenging.
Therefore a new method has been developed, which simply captures video
sequences from several view points simultaneously and computes
time-varying three-dimensional models of such phenomena automatically.
The talk will focus on the reconstruction method and cover some extensions
like adaptive reconstruction and compression of the resulting data.
