Abstract

In this talk I will present methods for the estimation of
camera motion and 3D reconstruction from image sequences.
First, I will give an overview of the algorithms that are
used in the "Voodoo Camera Tracker" software and explain
techniques that improve the robustness of automatic camera
tracking. Next, I will present "Videotrace", a system for
interactively generating realistic 3D models of objects
by sketching the shape to be modelled over one or more
frames of video. In the last part of the talk, I will present
a novel technique for image-based modelling and discuss
my future plans, especially, where I see opportunities
for collaboration within the MPII.
