Working with high-dynamic range (HDR) images becomes more and more common in computer graphics. To view such HDR images on low-dynamic range (LDR) devices like computer screens, an HDR image viewer is needed. In this work, we develop an HDR image viewer that allows for an easy viewing and an efficient manipulation of HDR images. This includes the use of graphics hardware to provide interactive performance even for very large images. The viewer is fully threaded to handle many images in parallel and make use of multi-core CPUs. It also features a fully editable user interface to fit to different user's needs. Images can be run through a flexible, user definable HDR filter chain offering different tone-mapping algorithms. Previously defined filter chains can also be applied to images via a command line interface, allowing image manipulations on large sets of images. To obtain the raw color information of a pixel in an image, the viewer provides realtime pixel picking.
