Abstract

AGM style belief revision has provided a popular framework for
a normative formalization of belief revision, typically not
expected to lead directly to practical belief revision systems.
Contrary to the intuition of many, we propose that a generalization
of the AGM formalization is a plausible direction towards practicality,
and we present arguments for an alternative based on non-monotonic
representation theory.
