In 2008 I had been a researchers in computer vision
(http://ai.stanford.edu/~schuon/) when I founded stylight.com, a visual fashion search engine, with three friends. Over time the product has developed into Europe's leading lifestyle destination with 230 employees and offices in Munich, London & NYC. This summer we successfully exited the company to Pro7Sat1.
I'll talk about my learnings in transitioning from research university to a product company, my journey from developer to CTO and insights from founding a successful company.
