Abstract
Starting with a biophysically motivated method of transcription factor binding site prediction, this talk shall highlight the differences between promoters with high and low CpG contents. The two classes of promoters display different features when it comes to binding sites and tissue specific regulation.The dichotomy is further supported by an analysis of histone modifications in the promoters,which also shows different patterns for the two groups.
