Abstract

n recent years statistical physicists have begun studying the properties of large networks (WWW, Internet, neural networks,

protein networks asf.) Based on an analysis of the network connectivities, it was noticed that standard random graph
models do not describe their properties. This talk focuses
on the paradigmatic models devised by physicists to capture
the properties of the networks (keywords: scale-free graphs, small-world networks.)

Note: the long time allocated to the talk is meant to be used for questions
and discussions!
