Abstract
Physarum is a slime mold that apparently can compute shortest paths and approximate Steiner trees. Watch a video on youtube.

I discuss a mathematical model of the slime and report about extensive simulations and some theorems.
This is joint work with Vincenzo, Jane, and Anke. My talk is a practice run for an invited talk on the subject.
