Abstract

The presence of structural regularity in a scene is one of the most

powerful sources of information to be found. Applications are broad,
ranging from segmentation and compression through advanced, assisted
image editing to 3D reconstruction and texture recovery. This talk
will focus on the subdomain of lattices, which are highly structured,
immediately yielding useful properties and auspiciously common in
man-made contexts. Methods combining geometric and pixel-based
techniques for detecting and verifying lattice cells and associated
experimental methods and results will be presented.
