Abstract
J. Giesen established a nice connection between curve
reconstruction and the Traveling Salesman Problem. In the first
15 minutes I will discuss his result and put it into the context
of the other recent results on curve reconstruction. The first
15 minutes are for a general audience. In the remainder of the
talk (about 60 minutes) I will sketch his proof.
