Abstract
Philips is very active in improving their LCD-TVs continuously both on
front-of-screen performance
and on power consumption and cost. In this talk I will present some of
the high-lights in
this field of work that are now introduced into the market (scanning backlight),
currently being worken on (wide gamut and high-dynamic range),
and those that you can expect in the near future (color sequential).
