Abstract

The concurrent functional programming language Erlang is now enjoying a more and more widespread use both within Ericsson Telecom, where it was developed, and also outside the company in industry and academia.

I will briefly present why it was developed, what it looks like, where it has been used, a few words about the implementations and recent developments.
