Array Comparative Genomic Hybridization (aCGH) can reveal chromosomal aberrations in the tumor DNA.These amplifcations and deletions at the
DNA level are important in the pathogenesis of cancer. Finding the aberrations significant for cancer is vital for understanding the mechanisms of the disease
and for the further development of diagnostics, prognostics and drug design.
Different methods have been used developed in the attempt to solve this task, however the relative merits of these methods are not known. Our main goal
is to assess the various methods and to quantitatively compare how successful they are. This will be helpful for clinicians and also will give some direction in
the future development of methods for recurrent aberrations discovery.
