Abstract
The popularity of mobile devices has increased significantly in the last few years with many millions of sold devices. This growth also has its drawbacks: attackers have realized that smartphones are an attractive target and in the last months many different kinds of attacks against such devices have emerged. In this talk, we provide an overview of some recent research results in this area. More specifically, we introduce an approach to prevent runtime attacks against apps on iOS and discuss different ways to analyze Android apps. The talk concludes with an overview of future research challenges.
