Abstract
For studying wireless networks, simulation is an indispensable tool. This talk
gives an introduction into some of the basic simulation models for wireless
communication via the ubiquitous 802.11 standard. Selected mathematical
aspects of radio propagation models and reception criteria are developed and
their application illustrated using the new ns-3 network simulator.
