In this short (15 mins) presentation, I will briefly present the highlights of my research work both at PhD and post-doctoral levels and discuss a research proposal which is about edge contraction problems.

Context: As a part of a selection process, I am suppose to give the above talk in front of `an expert committee in mathematical sciences'.
