Information for Guests

Please note that you are only entitled to receive social child benefit as a foreigner if you are in possession of an "Aufenthaltsgenehmigung" stating

that you are allowed to work in Germany. It is not enough for it to state that you are here for studies.

The amounts of child benefit are the following per month:

184 euros for the first and second child,
190 euros for he third child, and
215 euros for each additional child.
