Abstract

Discussion of current work on scheduling access

to parallel disks. Focus is on open theoretical questions
from the area of combinatorial optimization and
probabilistics. If there is enough time and interest,
we can discuss practical issues regarding a
general purpose parallel disk server with mixed
quality of service guarantees.
