In all analog systems, 1/f^alpha noise appears. Since we want to simulate those systems before implementing them, it is useful to generate 1/f^alpha noise digital. In this work, we go through a practical generation method of 1/f^alpha noise, with alpha in a range from 0 to 2, and then implement that method in Matlab-Simulink. First, we see the design of FIR-filters and IIR-filters, then use those in a multirate filter bank and then modify this filter bank approach, so it allows us generating noise for more than one alpha.
