Abstract

Recently, a significant attention has been committed to simple mathematical models describing opinion dynamics. Given a network of agents, simple interaction rules determine the spread of the opinions initially supported by the agents.

The simplest model for opinion dynamics is the voter model, in which each agent adopts the opinion of a random neighbor. Classical results on the voter model show that the network eventually reaches consensus, i.e. the agents agree to a single opinion. Nevertheless, the behavior of more sophisticated opinion dynamics is not completely understood yet.
In this talk, we present some novel results for opinion dynamics on a specific network topology.
