Abstract
With the support of IT Inkubator and Gründer-Campus Saar (KWT/WuT), Saarbrücken has become part of the global Startup Weekend network (http://startupweekend.org/). Startup Weekend has already organized over 1200 events in 300 countries, leading to the founding of over 13000 startups.
The Startup Weekend Saarbrücken (SWSaar) is a three-day event for the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Never mind if you are a business specialist, designer, developer, student, founder or founder to be, everyone can join.
The event starts on Friday evening (May 8th) with a brief introduction and a pitch session.
Every participant is welcome to present his/her startup idea in 60 seconds.
The attendees subsequently select the best ideas and build teams.
It follows a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. You will work in teams and be supported by high-profile mentors from various fields. The event’s culmination is on Sunday evening, when all teams present their results in front of a jury of local entrepreneurial leaders.
The best team wins $60,000 in Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
